Victim hit by car on Eglinton Avenue

Police have identified a man who was killed while crossing the street in the Eglinton Avenue and Danforth Road area early on the morning of Jan. 1.

Police said 51-year-old Maniran (Dan) Singh was hit at 2:59 a.m. by a vehicle heading west on Eglinton, east of Danforth. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

The investigation is ongoing.
