A Bracebridge golf club, where three young Toronto men spent hours before they were killed in a fatal car crash last summer, is now facing a long list of alcohol charges.
The Lake Joseph Club and 16 of its employees are facing 34 charges, such as allowing drunkenness on licensed premises and supplying alcohol to an apparently intoxicated person, under the Liquor Licence Act.
On July 3, 19-year-old Kourosh Totonchian, of North York, 20-year-old Tyler Mulcahy, who spent time at family homes in North York and midtown Toronto, and 20-year-old Cory Mintz, of Toronto, were killed when the car they were riding in skidded out of control, broke through a guard rail and plunged into Lake Joseph.
They had been at the golf club before the deadly crash.
Police blamed alcohol and excessive speed for the tragedy.
Those charged will appear in court Jan. 27.
