On March 24, the Mary Frances Arrigo Memorial Trophy was awarded to Colwell, Toth and Landsbert, a Humber Community Music School (CMS) trio for their performance at the Toronto Kiwanis Festival. The award is the highest mark in the jazz division and includes a $500 scholarship.James Colwell (guitar), Alex Toth (bass) and Aaron Landsberg (drums), all Grade 12 students, are currently enrolled in the Community Music School, School of Creative and Performing Arts at Humber College and plan to use their winnings to fund a trip to Ottawa in May, where they will compete in the Musicfest Nationals.The trio performs at the 2008 CMS Showcase Concert on Sunday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m. in the Lakeshore Campus Auditorium, 3199 Lakeshore Blvd. W.
