EAST YORK: Two sought in student’s stabbing
16-year-old wounded in school hallway
Police now say they are looking for two suspects after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the stomach May 8 at Eastern Commerce on Phin Avenue near Donlands and Danforth avenues.
Police said the suspects approached the victim in the school and demanded his property around 2:50 p.m. The victim refused and was stabbed during a struggle.
The suspects made off with the victim’s cellphone.
The victim, believed to be a student, was rushed by ambulance to St. Michael’s Hospital with serious injuries.
The school was locked down for a short time.
