Toronto Council approved a multi-year sponsorship agreement between Exhibition Place and MTS Allstream Inc.
The 10-year agreement includes a title sponsorship for the centre and offers Allstream, which sells enterprise communications services, exposure on signage and a technology showcase area. Allstream’s head office is in Toronto.
The new conference centre, being built within the heritage facade of the former Automotive Building, will be named Allstream Centre – A Conference and Convention Centre at Exhibition Place.
The naming rights fees will be used to convert the heritage building to a state-of-the-art conference centre.
Full details of the arrangement and the Allstream Centre’s launch will be made public in the summer of 2009 during a special launch event.
