NORTH YORK: Angelica-Leslie becomes Crown ward
The baby, named Angelica-Leslie, has been in the care of a foster family shortly after she was found in the North York stairwell.
The family court judge ruled the one-year-old baby won't have contact with her biological parents, who have denied the girl is theirs.
Angelica-Leslie's three older siblings have been taken into care in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
The Children's Aid Society said they've narrowed down potential adoptive parents to three families from the 149 who came forward.
The parents, both 30, formerly of Toronto, have been charged with abandoning a child under the age of 10, failing to provide the necessities of life, assault causing bodily harm and criminal negligence.
Their identity is protected under a publication ban.
