A 27-year veteran of the Toronto Police Service has become the new president of the Police Association of Ontario.

Larry Molyneaux replaced Robert Baltin, whose term expired.

"We would like to thank Bob for his dedication and hard work, not only for our membership, but also in promoting safe communities in Ontario," Molyneaux said in a news release Monday, Aug. 18. "The PAO accomplished some great things during Bob's tenure and I look forward to building on our record of success."

The association has more than 32,000 members. It represents every Ontario municipal police association as well as the Ontario Provincial Police Association.
